Well, we probably watched the same concert, but with different points of view.
I wasn't really impressed by the guitar sound, especially given the guitars they were using: Ibanez and what? MusicMan Silhouette maybe (judging by the head and maple fretboard). I may be a bad guitar player, but I allow myself to scoff at dumb solos (although this was not required by the genre). And definitely, the backtrack sounded bad: muddy, muffled. I was about to accuse my earplugs until Punish Yourself took the stage. But maybe they just suffered from being the concert opener, as usual. They weren't *that* bad as my post opening sentence might induce, but in this configuration, they didn't convince me.

Anyway, the good thing is that we both enjoyed the show and that's all that matters in the end! Thanks for coming to their defense!

Have we been watching the same concerts ? Both bands were really good. And an interesting
combination. Deadcell's a bit more old-school ( like Ministry and KMFDM indeed ). I also agree Deadcell's sound is a bit less heavy than Punish Yourself. But well defined and powerful. The guitars were definately plugged in, which means the band played really tight if you didn't notice.

Punish Yourself is heavier, because it's a band and their music is a bit more aggressive. Really liked their show too. Drums were also live too ( on top of the backtrack ).

In total a great night. Really enjoyed myself.
