- “V” is for Vagina, Puscifer: [Tool, A Perfect Circle] Maynard’s side project. Quite a different sound from his bands. A lot of ambient sounds, maybe darker, but far less impressive use of his voice;
- White Chalk, PJ Harvey: Again, quite a departure from her previous works. High pitched voice and piano, somehow a more childish sound vs dark lyrics;
- Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D, Nine Inch Nails: our usual remix fix. There are quite a few catchy remixes, here. One of my favorites is the My Violent Heart remix and it is fan-made!
- Cobra Strike II, Buckethead: usual impressive demonstration from our friendly bucket;
- The Power of Beef, Pigmy Love Circus: I was this
-><- close to be driven away by the singer’s voice, but the overall sound, muffled and heavy rock is more than convincing;
- Cruel Melody, Black Melody Burns: This sounds like Nine Inch Nails but with a bit more of a classic rock sound (and yet less impressive currently). Why do I keep hearing Devo’s Mongoloid riff with the intro of I have a need ?
