a stack of CDs

In no particular order:

  • Nico, Blind Melon: I love Hoon’s voice and this was simply a sure bet;
  • of milkmaids & architects, Martha Tilston: I already knew her voice through the CD of Mouse (Tales) and this is still a good bet, for folk music.
  • Rage Against The Machin (ditto): it isn’t like I tried to find something really new, but every now and then, I would need to complete my collection :)
  • The ghost of Tom Joad, Bruce Springsteen: I had to try. But I’m not that impressed even though this can be considered listenable;
  • Population Override, Buckethead: After a few minutes, I thought I was listening to the wrong CD and that I was listening to some old and good Jeff Beck or whatever great jazz-rock guitar player of the 70’s. But this was just Buckethead. Not only can he shred but he also can play his heart out;
  • Inhuman Rampage DragonForce: haha, a good laugh. No, really, that is it? I thought this would be something interesting but this is only cheesy power metal. What I’m afraid of, is that they may not be joking that much in their rockumentary and the way they are so cliché. But otherwise, yeah, sure, they play fast;
  • Kick out the jams, MC5: Collection, baby.

Overall, Buckethead is currently still the one to impress me the most.
