Year Zero, for your greedy pleasure

Nine inch Nails has made the whole album available through a flash player, while it will be officially released on April the 17th.

At first, it feels closer to Things falling apart with its highly noisy sound and feeling. I don’t believe the first “released” (on myspace or on forgotten usb keys, that is) were really what was the best of this album.

I still don’t like that much the voice used most of the time. It feels like it was recorded in a rush and without, somehow, the usual anger that a NiN song would be supposed to contain. Or maybe it’s just closer to a spoken voice.

(and why, o why, do we still have to endure clean piano sound while everything else is distorted?)
