A stack of music…

  • Golden Ocean by 50 Foot Wave. Nice rock album, even though there isn’t that much innovation (I keep hearing some old smashing pumpkins’ tunes in some of their intros).
  • The 13th Scroll by Cobra Strike (well, really Buckethead). Groovy and interesting background music, but the drums could be better. Somewhat more dynamic than Death Cube K.
  • Oceanic by Isis. Repetitive dark music, Doom metal voice. I don’t like the voice and the music isn’t that great. beep! next!
  • The Cuckoo Clocks of Hell by Buckethead. Well, Buckethead having fun. For guitar fans only.
  • Side Three by Adrian Belew. At last, a side project of Adrian Belew that doesn’t sound incomplete!
  • You’re Speaking My Language by Juliette & The Licks. Live, it sounded great. On the album, it sounds pop-ish. A few good things but far less powerful as I would have thought.

People who like Buckethead may enjoy the fact that many of his concerts are (legally) available from the Internet Archive.
