plone

Today, I have been looking a little bit at various CMS (or rather, DMS) solutions. The main one being Plone. Installing the later on OSX was rather easy, and using it wasn’t that difficult. The main things I need are present: creating folder, documents, adding files, managing users. Well, in fact, even the dumbest wiki can do this. But the one thing that is missing is a versioning system. I can upload a document, and another version, but if I upload it as the same file, I lose the previous version. Bad, bad, bad!

Computer Associates seems to have the solution to my problem, by providing a Plone-based opensource documentation mangement system. But I yet have to find where to find it exactly and how to install it without messing with binary Redhat or SuSE installers.
